Our Services:
Vaccinations
Puppies and kittens will need a course of vaccines to get them setup and protected. After this yearly vaccinations are required to help maintain the health and wellbeing of your animals. Whether you’ve got a cat, dog or rabbit we can keep them covered.
Dogs need their annual canine cough vaccine and a triannual core vaccine (DHPPi) covering Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Parainfluenza.
Cats get a vaccine every 3 years which covers Panleucopaenia, Herpes virus and Calicivirus. Cats going into boarding or at high risk of respiratory disease will need this annually.
Rabbits get a yearly vaccine as early as 10weeks old. This covers the 3 strains in NZ: -RHDV1 -RHDV1-K5 -RHDV2
Puppy and Kitten Vaccinations
Give your new pets the best start in life and get them vaccinated. Ideally starting at 8 weeks old, puppies and kittens require 3-4 vaccines 3-4 weeks apart. Pups will require a booster in another 6 months.
Annual Health Check
It’s recommended you get your pets checked at least once a year. This includes a full check from nose to tail and allows us to keep up to date with any health issues that may arise as they get older. This can be included at annual vaccinations.
Microchipping and Registration
We can microchip and register your pet in one visit. This will get them registered on the Companion Animal Register also known as the National Database. Make sure they can get back home to you if they go on an adventure.
Desexings
Male or female, cats, dogs and rabbits can be booked in with us to be desexed. They will be admitted between 8 and 8:30 am and spend the day with us going home in the afternoon after they have recovered. Please call to discuss pricing as this varies depending on, sex, size and breed.
Dentals
Like us your pets require regular dental care. Book in for a dental check to see if your pets need a scale and polish, or have a chat with our helpful staff to see if they could benefit from our oral care products.
Radiology
We have ultrasound and xray on site should your pet need diagnostic work up.
Surgical procedures
Our skilled vets carry out a range of surgeries daily. Orthopaedics, lump removals, emergency procedures and wound repairs are just some of what we offer.
Nail clips and Anal glands
This can be booked in with our qualified nurses.
Puppy Pre School
Getting a new puppy can be very overwhelming, but we are here to help. Book in for puppy preschool to get all the tips and tricks for raising a well-behaved puppy. Puppies must be between 8 and 14 weeks of age and must have had their first vaccination.
After Hours Consult
If you’ve got an emergency outside of business hours, we have after hours vets on hand to help you. For an after hours consulate fee your pet can get treated straight away, you don’t have to wait till we open.
